Educate your employees
ASAP is more than education; it’s a catalyst for lasting change.
Every workplace is unique and so are its educational needs. That’s why we now offer the flexibility to purchase individual ASAP courses designed to address specific areas of workplace safety, impairment, and substance use.
Each course is billed per employee, per course, providing one full year of access to engaging, evidence-based education that helps your team stay safe, compliant, and informed.
Whether you want to:
This course explains what it means to be fit for duty being physically, mentally, and behaviorally able to perform work safely and effectively. Employees will learn how factors such as fatigue, stress, medications, medical conditions, and substance use can impact their ability to work safely.
Not all workplace safety risks related to substance use are obvious, and not all substances that can cause impairment are illegal. Legal substances such as alcohol and cannabis (in some jurisdictions) can still pose serious safety concerns, especially in safety-sensitive roles. This course provides employees with a clear understanding of how different substances - both legal and illegal - affect the brain, body, and ability to work safely. Learners will also gain a better understanding of how informed choices help create a culture of safety, accountability, and respect.
Cannabis is legal in Canada and in some parts of the United States, but that doesn’t mean it’s risk-free, especially in the workplace. This course helps employees understand how and why cannabis can cause impairment, how it affects the brain and body, and why even legal or prescribed use can pose safety risks especially for those who work in safety-sensitive positions. Learners will gain practical insight into the importance of responsible choices, both during and outside of work hours, to maintain a safe and productive workplace.
Substance Use Disorder (SUD) affects individuals, families, workplaces, and communities. This course explains what SUD is, how it develops, and what it looks like in real life, using clear and relatable examples. Employees will learn about treatment options, how to recognize when substance use may meet the criteria for a disorder, and why support and compassion are essential. By the end, learners will understand that SUD is a medical condition - not a moral failing - and that reducing stigma creates a safer, healthier, and more supportive workplace.
Drug and alcohol testing is an important part of maintaining workplace safety, especially in safety-sensitive roles. This course helps employees who may be subject to alcohol and drug testing understand why testing is used, how it works, and what it means within a company’s safety program. Learners will explore the main types of testing, such as oral fluid, urine, and breath, along with the role of the Medical Review Officer (MRO) and the importance of accurate lab confirmation. By the end, employees will understand how testing promotes fairness, accountability, and a safer workplace for everyone.
